Division for Intercultural and International Comparative Educational Research

The Division for Intercultural and International Comparative Educational Research (SIIVE) of the German Educational Research Association (GERA/DGfE) includes the following three subdivisions: 

• Comparative and International Educational Research
• Education, Migration and Society
• Education for Sustainable Development

Regular members of GERA can join the division and one, two or three of its subdivisions. These persons are regular members of the division.

The division is organising annual conferences. Part of these annual conferences are the general meetings of the members of the subdivisions as well as the division. Besides this, current research projects are presented and discussed. Additionally, all three subdivisions host conferences and workshops, especially for emerging researchers.

The members of the subdivisions and the division offer three scientific journals: Tertium Comparationis, Zeitschrift für internationale Bildungsforschung und Entwicklungspädagogik (ZEP) and Zeitschrift für erziehungswissenschaftliche Migrationsforschung (ZeM). Besides current scientific contributions, these journals publish information on topics and events, that are relevant to the division. Last but not least, the division hosts a mailing list. Interested members of GERA can contact the current chairperson of the section.
